Joshua M. Whitaker



Josh Whitaker is one of Whitaker & Hamer’s founding partners.  Josh was an original partner of McCullers & Whitaker, PLLC, which was originally formed in 2004.

Josh is a North Carolina native.  Josh graduated from Garner Senior High School, North Carolina State University and the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University.  Josh resides in the 27603, that part of Raleigh that lies in between Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Apex and Cary.

Josh started the Judica County Radio podcast, which is dedicated to providing information and news relevant to all things legal (  This podcast was recently nominated for a 2022 People’s Choice Podcast Award for Best News/Political podcast. While Judica County Radio airs on a host of stations across the State of North Carolina, it’s flagship airing is every Saturday at 4 PM on 106.1 The Talk.

Outside of work, Josh can be found enjoying the Triangle with his wife, Charolette, their three boys.

Josh concentrates his practice on real estate law, business/contract law, and general civil litigation. Josh routinely advises his clients regarding real estate transactions (both residential and commercial), business entity creation, the purchase or sale of business entities, and estate administration and probate.

Josh was awarded a spot on the coveted 2022 and 2023 North Carolina Lawyers’ Weekly Real Estate Law Power List.
